A link will be emailed to you with a link to fill out your pre-appointment paperwork. This must be done prior to your appointment.
At your appointment I will apply a topical lidocaine to numb your eyebrows. This will sit on your skin while we will discuss size, shape, color, etc. Once I remove the numbing cream, I will take before photos of your eyebrows. Then, I will begin to map out and shape your eyebrows.
I will show you the shape and color I recommend for you and welcome any feedback you may have. This is 100% your decision. I will not begin the service until I know that we both 100% agree to shape and color. I want my clients to feel completely empowered but please also respect that I would never tattoo something that I personally didn’t like either. You will be a walking billboard for me and its important to me that you look your best.
At this point, if you decide to not go through with the service for any reason, you will not owe the balance, but you will forfeit your $100 booking fee.
At the end of the service we will go over aftercare, take after photos, schedule your touch up, and collect the balance owed.

Does Perma Blend pigments contain nickel?
No, they do not.
Do Perma Blend pigments contain iron oxides?
Some do. Iron oxides are non-toxic, non-allergenic, and generally well-tolerated by those with sensitive skin. They also have superior lightfastness which keeps them from fading and makes them great for permanent makeup. All of our pigments— whether organic or inorganic— undergo rigorous third-party safety and quality analysis to ensure the best results for you and your clients. So there's no need to worry.
For Nano brows, I use Hanafy Pigments. You can view the ingredients here: https://hanafy.us/pages/about-us
Ingredients: Aqua, Rosin, Glycerin, Isopropyl Alcohol, Hamamelis Virginiana Extract, CI #77266, CI#12315, CI#21108, CI#77891.
I also use Brovi pigments:
All pigments from the basic Brovi brow line have aqua, Hamamelis virginiana extract, glycerin, and alcohol in their formulas. The only difference between the mixes is colorants.
What is the base ingredient of Brovi pigments?
The base of the regular Brovi line is hydroalcoholic. It also has glycerin (which helps a lot when working in the hair strokes technique as it has an ability to “hold” thin lines) and witch hazel extract (which is a natural antiseptic and skin toner).
The pigments from Brovi+ line consist only of deionized water, witch hazel extract and colorants.
It is important to consider healed results and long term care of your cosmetic tattoo before making the decision to get tattooed. Please read the following:

❓ Will My Cosmetic Tattoo Completely Fade?
No pigment is guaranteed to completely disappear from the skin, but in many cases, cosmetic tattoos can fade to the point of being nearly undetectable — especially when:
Applied very superficially
Used in small amounts (like freckle tattoos)
Carefully matched to your undertone
Properly protected from sun exposure after healing
Fading is a natural and expected part of the cosmetic tattoo process. While some clients may experience full fading over time, others may retain a soft trace of color. The extent and speed of fading can vary greatly depending on factors like:
Skin type and health
Age and lifestyle habits
Skincare routines (especially exfoliants or retinols)
Pigment type and quality
Depth of implantation
Advancements in technique and pigment formulation
It’s important to approach cosmetic tattooing with the understanding that lightening or removal may become part of your journey over time. If desired, laser tattoo removal is often the most effective method for accelerating the fading process or removing pigment altogether.

A few factors to consider based on skin type:
Normal Skin/Dry Skin: Microblading & Nano heals best on normal to dry skin types.
Thick/Oily Skin/Acne prone skin: Microblading & Nano may not work well on clients with oily skin types or large pores. Increased oil production can cause hair strokes to blur and heal lighter and more powdery than you would expect. Oily skin will require touch ups more often. I recommend adding manual shading to your service for optimal results.
Mature Skin: Tends to be thinner and more delicate which may increase the likelihood of bleeding, loss of pigment, and pigment migration..
Dark-Complexioned Skin: There may be less contrast and visible detail in the microbladed strokes.
Thin Skin: Due to the fragility of thin skin, it is not recommended to receive Microblading. What will my cosmetic tattoo look like in the future?
Most client’s cosmetic tattoos will fade and soften over time while remaining true to the original tone. However, there are cases where colors can shift over time due to a client’s lifestyle, such as iron deficiencies, sun exposure, skincare regimen, etc. During your follow up appointment, I will analyze the original pigment used and make any necessary adjustments to help give you the best long lasting result.
It's important to remember that all pigments are made of primary colors. The base color of the pigment may show over time. This is why color refreshers are recommended every 3-4 years.
-
What should I expect during the initial healing period?
During the first few days, your newly microbladed eyebrows may appear warmer or more intense in color. It's normal for them to look up to 20% darker and 10% thicker during the first 3-5 days of healing.
What can I anticipate on days 4-5 of healing?
Around day 4-5, you may experience itching, peeling, or flaking skin. It's crucial not to pick or pull on it during this phase, as this can lead to loss of pigment and changes in color intensity.
Why do my eyebrows look lighter around days 10-14?
Between days 10-14, your eyebrows may seem to have lightened significantly. This is a normal part of the healing process, and the color will gradually start to reappear after 2 weeks.
What should I do if some strokes have lightened too much or disappeared after 30 days?
Once your brows are fully healed (around 30 days), you may notice that a few strokes have lightened too much or disappeared. During your follow-up appointment, your microblading artist will assess how you've healed and make any necessary adjustments to the shape and color.
What precautions should I take during the healing process?
During the healing process, it's crucial to avoid:
Applying brow makeup, face wash, face lotion, or any other products on and around your eyebrows.
Engaging in activities that cause sweating.
Using harsh cleansers near or on your brows.
Allowing bath towels, tissues, or washcloths to touch your face.
Engaging in harsh scrubbing of the eyebrow area.
Taking long, hot, steamy showers.
Direct contact with the shower head.
Swimming, particularly in pools, jacuzzis, or saunas.
Sleeping on your side to prevent rubbing.
Prolonged exposure to the sun.
Exposing your eyebrows to dust, dirt, or gardening activities.

As a safety precaution, we do not tattoo pregnant or nursing mothers. I do look forward to serving you once it is safe to do so. If you have booked an appointment and then found out you are pregnant, I will hold your booking fee for one year.

Microblading is a revolutionary form of cosmetic tattooing. Fine hair strokes are created by depositing pigment into the skin with a manual handheld tool.
Microblading is designed to blend with your natural brow hair, the more hair you have the more realistic your results will be. If you have very little or sparse eyebrow hair, results will appear more 2d, and it is possible that you may need more than two sessions to achieve your desired result.
Microblading is not intended to replace eyebrow makeup. If you are used to a bold, makeup eyebrow, then you may still want to fill them in. Microblading gives you the ability to build on it and make it bold when you want, but on the days when you don’t have makeup on, you will feel like you have a nice, structured brow that compliments your natural features.

❓ What is nano brows and Why Do Nano Brows Take Longer and Cost More?
Nano brows are a highly advanced form of cosmetic tattooing performed with a tattoo machine and a single needle. Unlike microblading, which uses a manual blade to create hair-like cuts in the skin, nano brows implant pigment more gently and precisely, resulting in ultra-natural hairstrokes with less trauma to the skin.
✨ Here’s Why They Take Longer and Require More Skill:
Single-Needle Precision: Each stroke is created one at a time using a fine, needle and tattoo machine. This requires extreme control and a steady hand to replicate the look of real hair with subtle tapering and depth.
Slower Technique: The strokes are carefully built layer by layer, often taking 2.5–3 hours for a full set. Artists must work slowly to avoid oversaturating the skin or causing trauma.
Skin-First Approach: Nano brows are ideal for all skin types, including oily or mature skin, but require the artist to adapt in real time to how the skin responds — this level of finesse takes years of experience and specialized training.
Longer-Lasting, Gentler Results: Because nano brows don’t cut the skin, the healing process is often smoother with better pigment retention. But achieving that soft, natural look without overworking the skin takes a trained eye and practiced technique.
💸 Why They’re More Expensive
Nano brows reflect not only the time spent per session, but also:
The advanced skill level required
The premium equipment and needles used
The extensive training and experience behind the work
The long-term value: softer fading, less need for correction, and better healed results over time
In short: Nano brows are a refined, high-skill technique that deliver stunning, natural results — but they take time, intention, and experience to do correctly. You're not just paying for brows — you're investing in artistry.

Pain tolerance varies from person to person. I use two different topical numbing agents to ensure our clients remain comfortable during the entire procedure. These topicals contain 5% lidocaine and epinephrine. The procedure might be slightly uncomfortable but not unbearable. If you are someone with a very low pain tolerance, this procedure may not be for you. Although, 99% of my clients would say it is mostly painless.

❓ What Is a Lip Blush Tattoo?
Lip blush tattoo is a cosmetic tattoo technique that enhances the natural tone, shape, and symmetry of your lips by softly implanting pigment into the skin. The goal is to create a subtle, tinted look — similar to a natural lip stain — that adds definition and color without harsh lines or heavy makeup.
This service is ideal for:
Pale or uneven lip tones
Enhancing lip shape and symmetry
Creating a fuller appearance without filler
Reducing the need for daily lipstick or liner
💋 What to Expect
Healed results appear soft, natural, and customizable to your desired tone
Mild swelling typically resolves within 24–48 hours
Final results develop after full healing (about 6–8 weeks)
Pigment will soften and fade over time, but how long it lasts varies for each person
(based on skin type, skincare routine, sun exposure, and lifestyle)
⚠️ Important Notes
You must not be pregnant or nursing at the time of your appointment
If you're prone to cold sores, you’ll need to take a prescribed antiviral (like Valtrex) before and after your appointment to prevent outbreaks
A touch-up is recommended 10–12 weeks later to perfect the shape and color once healed
🗓️ Do I Need a Consultation?
Not always — but if you’ve had previous lip tattooing, a virtual consultation may be required to assess whether a correction or removal is needed.
📸 Please send a clear, makeup-free photo of your lips to hello@jeanieaurora.com for review.Lip blush is one of my most requested treatments for good reason — it’s timeless, low-maintenance, and completely tailored to you.

Please avoid alcohol, caffeine (foregoing coffee may be very hard for some, I understand but if you bleed during your procedure, you are wasting your money), aspirin, niacin, ibuprofen, or any blood thinners for 24 hours prior to your procedure.
I recommend waiting at least 6 weeks to get microblading done if you have received botox injections.
Avoid vitamin e and fish oil for at least 24 hours prior to your procedure.
Discontinue vitamin a/retinol/glycolic acid/lactic acid/salicylic acid and any exfoliating or skin regenerating products two weeks prior to microblading procedure.
Any brow shaping using waxing or tinting should be performed at least 72 hours before the procedure.
Exfoliating treatments such as microdermabrasion should not be performed within 2 weeks prior to procedure.
Must be off of accutane for at least 1 year prior to microblading procedure.
Please note: if your brow structure is extremely uneven, botox may be recommended prior to booking with me.

An eyeliner tattoo, also known as permanent eyeliner or cosmetic eyeliner tattooing, is a semi-permanent makeup procedure where pigment is tattooed along the lash line to enhance the appearance of the eyes.
-
The longevity of an eyeliner tattoo varies from person to person but typically lasts between three to five years before needing a touch up. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare practices can influence the duration of the tattoo.
-
Risks include allergic reactions to the pigment, infection, scarring, and dissatisfaction with the results. It's essential to choose a reputable and experienced tattoo artist who follows strict hygiene and safety protocols.
High Vascularity Consideration: Clients with high vascularity in their eyelids, characterized by visible blood vessels or a tendency to bleed easily, may not be suitable candidates for eyeliner tattooing. High vascularity increases the risk pigment migration, which can compromise the results and pose future discoloration in other areas of your eyelid.
-
Before the procedure, avoid caffeine, alcohol, and blood-thinning medications. Discontinue use of lash serums 6 weeks prior to your appointment. Do not wear contacts to your appointment. Discuss any medical conditions or allergies with your tattoo artist. It's advisable to avoid using eye makeup on the day of the procedure.
Remove Lash Extensions: If you currently have lash extensions, it's essential to have them removed at least two weeks before your scheduled eyeliner tattoo appointment. Lash extensions can interfere with the tattooing process and may need to be fully removed to ensure the tattoo artist can work effectively along the lash line.
Discontinue Lash Growth Serums: Stop using any lash growth serums or enhancers at least six weeks before your eyeliner tattoo appointment. These products can affect the integrity of the skin and may interfere with the tattooing process or the healing of the treated area.
Avoid Eye Contacts: If you wear contact lenses, it's advisable to switch to glasses for at least 24 hours before your eyeliner tattoo appointment. Contact lenses can irritate the eyes during and after the procedure, and wearing them may increase the risk of discomfort or complications.
Consultation and Patch Test: If you are feeling unsure, please schedule a consultation with me to discuss your expectations, medical history, and any concerns you may have about the procedure. During the consultation, your artist may also perform a patch test to check for any allergic reactions to the tattoo ink or numbing agents.
Avoid Sun Exposure and Tanning: In the weeks leading up to your eyeliner tattoo appointment, it's essential to avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning beds. Sunburned or tanned skin can be more sensitive and prone to complications during the tattooing process.
Stay Hydrated and Get Adequate Sleep: Maintaining good overall health is important for optimal healing and recovery after an eyeliner tattoo. Make sure to stay hydrated, get plenty of rest, and eat a balanced diet in the days leading up to your appointment.
Follow Aftercare Instructions: Familiarize yourself with the aftercare instructions provided by your tattoo artist and make any necessary preparations. You may need to purchase specific ointments or creams to apply to the treated area during the healing process.
By following these preparation steps and guidelines, you can help ensure a smooth and successful eyeliner tattoo experience. Be sure to communicate openly with your tattoo artist, follow their advice, and ask any questions you may have before the procedure to ensure your comfort and satisfaction.

❓ What are Freckle Tattoos & What Should I Know Before Getting Them?
Freckle tattoos, also known as faux freckles or cosmetic freckle tattooing, involve depositing pigment into the skin to mimic the look of naturally sun-kissed freckles. This treatment is highly customizable — from subtle, barely-there speckles to a more playful, editorial scatter. It’s ideal for clients who love the look of freckles but want to skip the daily makeup routine.
✨ What to Expect
Freckle tattoos are usually placed on the cheeks, nose bridge, or shoulders, depending on your preference. The procedure is relatively quick and minimally invasive. When done correctly and with high-quality pigments, they fade beautifully over time — usually lasting 6 months to 2+ years, depending on your skin type, pigment choice, and lifestyle.
⚠️ Risks & Considerations
As with any cosmetic tattoo procedure, there are risks involved. These may include:
Pigment Retention Issues: Freckles are intentionally implanted more superficially, so they may fade unevenly or faster on some skin types.
Color Shifting: If incorrect pigment or technique is used, freckles may heal to warmer or cooler tones.
Blurring or Migration: If implanted too deeply, freckles can blur or look smudged over time.
Skin Reactions: Though rare, some individuals may experience sensitivity, redness, or reactions to the pigment.
That’s why proper technique, pigment selection, and artist experience are essential.
🔥 Important Aftercare Warning: Avoid Certain Laser Facials
After getting freckle tattoos, you must avoid laser treatments on the treated area unless cleared by your provider. Many laser facials (like IPL or laser resurfacing) are designed to target pigment in the skin. These lasers can:
Trigger unexpected fading or patchiness
Cause the pigment to oxidize and turn a different color (gray, orange, or red)
Stimulate an inflammatory response that damages the skin or affects your healed results
If you're someone who regularly receives laser facials or plans to in the future, be sure to discuss this with your artist or laser tech beforehand. There may be better long-term options for your skin goals.
🧴 Proper Healing = Beautiful Results
Follow your aftercare instructions closely
Avoid direct sun exposure while healing
Don’t pick, scrub, or exfoliate the area until fully healed
Use SPF daily to protect your investment and help the freckles fade more naturally over time
Freckle tattoos are a fun, natural-looking enhancement — but like all cosmetic tattoo procedures, they require care, education, and the right approach to ensure the best results. Have more questions? Feel free to email hello@jeanieaurora.com before booking.

Retinol, and other vitamin A derivatives (like tretinoin or Retin-A), are powerful skincare ingredients used to increase cell turnover, fade dark spots, and improve texture. While great for anti-aging and acne, they can negatively impact cosmetic tattoos — especially when used too soon after your procedure or too frequently over tattooed areas.
-
❓ Can I Add Shading to My Brow Service?
Yes! Shading can be added to your brow service for a softly filled-in, powdery effect that adds depth and dimension. This hybrid technique blends nano hairstrokes with gentle machine shading to create brows that are both defined and natural-looking.
Shading is especially helpful for:
Clients with very sparse areas who want a fuller look
Oily or mature skin types where hairstrokes alone may not hold as well
Those who prefer a more “makeup-ready” or polished finish
Correcting or blending previous brow tattoos
This can be discussed at anytime. During your first session or at your touch up. I sometimes recommend doing less initially and adding more over time.
-

❓ What Happens If I’m Late or Cancel Last Minute?
To respect everyone's time, arriving late or cancelling without proper notice may result in forfeiting your appointment and booking fee.

Can I Get Tattooed If I Have a Special Event Coming Up?
It depends on the timing — but generally, it's best to plan ahead. Cosmetic tattoos require time to heal and soften, so you won’t see the final results immediately after your appointment.
If you have a wedding, photoshoot, vacation, or any special event coming up, please keep the following in mind:
⏳ Healing Timeline:
Initial healing takes about 7–14 days, during which time the area may flake, scab, or appear uneven
Full healing and final results take 6–8 weeks, as the pigment settles and the skin regenerates
Some clients require a touch-up 10–12 weeks after the first session for perfecting shape and color
🛑 Important:
You may experience mild swelling, redness, or dryness after brows, lips, or eyeliner procedures
Freckles and lips may look darker or more intense before they fade into a natural tone
Sun, water, and makeup should be avoided on the area during healing
✅ Best Practice:
If you're planning around an important event, schedule your cosmetic tattoo at least 6–8 weeks in advance, or wait until after your event for the best experience and outcome.
Need help planning the right timing? Email me at hello@jeanieaurora.com and I’ll guide you based on your service and event date.

❓ Can I Bring a Guest to My Appointment?
Guest policies vary depending on the studio location:
Temecula (Private Studio):
You're welcome to bring one adult guest to your appointment. My home studio offers a calm, private environment where a quiet guest is allowed to sit in during your service.Los Angeles & San Diego (Shared Studios):
Out of respect for the busier, shared studio environments in LA and San Diego, guests are not permitted at these locations. This ensures a focused, professional experience for you, myself, and other artists working in the space.
Thank you for understanding and helping me maintain a peaceful and respectful atmosphere at each location. If you have questions about your specific booking, feel free to email hello@jeanieaurora.com.
-
❓ Do I Need a Touch-Up, and When Should I Book It?
Most clients will need a touch-up, especially after their first session. Cosmetic tattoos are a multi-step process — the initial appointment lays the foundation, and the touch-up perfects the shape, color, and saturation once your skin has healed.
🗓️ Touch-ups are typically scheduled 6-10 weeks after your initial appointment.
During this second session, we’ll assess how your skin retained the pigment and make any necessary refinements. Every client heals differently based on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare, so touch-ups allow us to ensure your final result looks flawless and lasts beautifully.
Please note: Touch-ups are not included in the base service price unless otherwise specified and are booked separately.
Still unsure if you need a touch-up? Email a clear, well-lit photo to hello@jeanieaurora.com, and I’ll take a look!
-
If it’s been over a year since your last appointment and you're looking to refresh your brows, lips, freckles, or eyeliner, you’ll likely need a Color Refresher Session — not a touch-up.
Over time, pigment fades differently on everyone depending on skin type, lifestyle, and how your body metabolizes the ink. A refresher is designed to revive and enhance your existing cosmetic tattoo without adding unnecessary saturation.
🖥️ Virtual Consultation May Be Required
If it’s been 2+ years or your pigment has shifted significantly, a virtual consultation may be required before booking. This helps us assess:
Whether a refresher is appropriate
If fading is even enough to proceed
If removal or correction may be a better option
Oversaturating the skin with pigment can lead to long-term issues like blurring, discoloration, or pigment buildup — and our goal is always to preserve the skin and keep your results looking natural and fresh.
📸 To request a virtual assessment, please send a clear, makeup-free photo of the area to:

You can still get lip blush if you have lip filler — but timing and expectations are important.
If you've recently had lip filler (like Juvederm or Restylane), you'll need to wait at least 4–6 weeks before your lip blush appointment. This gives the filler time to settle and ensures your lips are at a stable shape and volume, which is crucial for achieving balanced, precise results.
If you're planning to get filler after your lip blush, wait until your tattoo is fully healed (typically 6–8 weeks post-procedure).
💡 Important to Know:
Lip blush is not a replacement for filler.
While it can enhance shape and create the illusion of fuller lips, it does not physically add volume and cannot be used to over-line or tattoo beyond the natural lip border.Tattooing outside the vermilion border (the natural edge of the lips) is not safe or recommended, as it can cause pigment migration, blurring, or unnatural results over time.
Filler and lip blush can work beautifully together when properly timed and applied — creating both volume and natural-looking color enhancement.
If you’re unsure how to space out your appointments or what’s best for your lips, feel free to email a clear, makeup-free photo to hello@jeanieaurora.com, and I’ll help you plan the right approach.
