Studio Policy on Guests

To comply with health department regulations, clients under the age of 18 are not permitted in the studio.

We understand that getting a permanent makeup service can feel nerve-wracking, and you may want support from a friend or family member. However, due to the intimate nature of our services and limited studio space, we kindly ask that clients come alone. This helps us maintain a comfortable and professional environment for all artists and clients.

Exceptions are made for clients who require assistance, such as those with disabilities or those needing a translator. In these cases, you are welcome to bring someone to support you during your appointment.

Studio Policies & Client Agreement

Please read the following policies carefully before booking your appointment. By scheduling an appointment with Hello Aurora, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies outlined below.

AGE REQUIREMENT

Hello Aurora is a licensed tattoo studio. All clients must be 18 years of age or older.

Due to studio regulations and safety requirements, individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted inside the studio under any circumstances, including as guests or companions.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Hello Aurora reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a service when deemed necessary, including when a client's health, safety, behavior, eligibility, or circumstances may make proceeding inappropriate.

If I determine that a procedure should not be performed, I may decline or postpone the service.

VALID IDENTIFICATION

A valid, physical government-issued photo ID is required at the time of your appointment.

If you are unable to provide acceptable identification, your service cannot be performed and your appointment will be considered cancelled. A new booking fee will be required to schedule a future appointment.

Digital photographs or copies of identification may not be accepted.

REQUIRED CONSENT FORMS

All required consent and client forms must be completed before arriving for your appointment.

Forms will be provided by text message, and a link is also available through the booking process.

Incomplete forms may result in your appointment being delayed or cancelled.

By booking an appointment with Hello Aurora, you acknowledge and agree to:

APPOINTMENT PRIVACY & GUESTS

Hello Aurora is a private studio with limited space and is designed to provide a focused, comfortable experience for each client.

Appointments are for the scheduled client only. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests, friends, children, or family members inside the studio.

When you arrive, please remain in your vehicle and text the studio using the phone number provided in your appointment confirmation. I will let you know when it is time to enter.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & RECORDING

For documentation, quality control, training, and business purposes, portions of appointments may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise documented.

Your privacy is important to us. Any use of identifiable images or video for social media, advertising, or promotional purposes will be subject to the applicable consent you select.

You will have the opportunity to indicate whether you consent to your images or videos being used for promotional purposes.

PARKING

Hello Aurora is not responsible for parking availability, parking citations, towing fees, or other parking-related expenses incurred during your appointment.

Please allow additional time to locate parking and arrive at the studio on time.

LATE ARRIVALS

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be cancelled and your booking fee will be forfeited. A new booking fee will be required to schedule another appointment.

Arriving on time allows us to provide your service without rushing and ensures that the full appointment time is available for your procedure.

RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS

Because appointments are reserved exclusively for each client, cancellations and rescheduling affect a small appointment-based business significantly.

Please refer to the Refund & Cancellation Policy for complete information regarding booking fees, cancellations, rescheduling, and missed appointments.

FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS

Cosmetic tattooing is a process, and healed results can vary from person to person.

Follow-up appointments are currently scheduled approximately 3 months after the initial procedure, when appropriate. Your follow-up appointment can be scheduled on the day of your initial service.

Follow-up appointments are subject to their own pricing and availability.

HEALTH & ELIGIBILITY

Your safety comes first.

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding your health, medications, allergies, skin conditions, previous cosmetic tattooing, and any other information that may affect your eligibility for the procedure.

Please do not withhold relevant information in order to proceed with an appointment.

If your skin or circumstances are not suitable for tattooing at the time of your appointment, I reserve the right to postpone or decline the procedure.

RESULTS & INDIVIDUAL VARIATION

Cosmetic tattooing is performed on living skin, and healed results vary from person to person.

Results can be influenced by skin type, age, skin condition, lifestyle, medications, previous tattooing, aftercare, and individual healing response. While every effort is made to create beautiful, customized results, specific healed results cannot be guaranteed.

PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES

Hello Aurora is committed to providing a professional, respectful, and comfortable environment.

Disrespectful, threatening, abusive, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior toward the artist or others will not be tolerated. A service may be refused or discontinued if necessary to maintain a safe and professional environment.

By booking with Hello Aurora, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to review the information provided on the website, understand the studio policies, and agree to comply with the requirements outlined above.

ALL booking fees ARE NON-REFUNDABLE/NON-TRANSFERABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

The booking fee ensures that you are serious about the appointment.

The booking fee is intended to reserve your appointment time and ensure that adequate resources, including time and materials, are allocated for your service.

By collecting a booking fee, we can better manage our schedule and minimize the occurrence of appointment cancellations or no-shows, which can disrupt our operations and impact other clients who may be waiting for availability.

Cancelling your appointment at any time will result in the forfeiture of your booking fee.

Touch ups must be done within 4-6 months from the first procedure or there will be an additional charge.

AURORA STUDIO allows you to reschedule an appointment one time before losing your booking fee. This policy also applies to touch ups, by rescheduling it more than once you are then forfeiting the complimentary session and you will be required to pay the touch up fee for a new appointment.

We require at least 48 hours notice to reschedule.

By not giving at least 48 hours notice you will forfeiture your deposit/complimentary touch up.

The first touch up is $100. The touch up allows us to see how well you retained pigment and make any necessary adjustments. Your first touch will be scheduled with your artist at your first session. It is typically 12 weeks after your initial session. This fee applies to brows and lash line tattoos.

Every cosmetic tattoo at Hello Aurora is individually designed and carefully performed with the goal of creating beautiful, natural, long-lasting results that complement your unique features.

Because cosmetic tattooing is an art form performed on living skin, healed results cannot be guaranteed. Every person's skin responds differently, and many factors can influence the final result.

YOUR HEALED RESULTS ARE UNIQUE

Factors that may affect healing, pigment retention, color, and overall results include:

• Skin type, condition, and texture

• Age and natural changes in the skin

• Lifestyle and skincare routine

• Medications and individual skin response

• Previous cosmetic tattooing

• Bleeding or fluid during the procedure

• Sun exposure and exfoliation

• Following—or not following—recommended aftercare

Your healed results may differ from another client's results, photographs shown on our website or social media, or the appearance of your tattoo immediately after your appointment.

Please review all pre-care and aftercare instructions BEFORE booking your appointment. By booking, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review this information and understand that proper preparation and aftercare are important parts of the healing process.

COSMETIC TATTOOING IS AN ART FORM

Cosmetic tattooing is not an exact science. There are many variables that contribute to how pigment heals, settles, and retains in the skin.

Every appointment is approached with care, precision, and intention. Your artist will customize the procedure based on your individual features, skin, and desired outcome.

However, no artist can control how an individual's skin will heal.

Some clients may require additional sessions to achieve their desired level of color, density, or balance. Additional sessions are not included unless specifically stated in your service description and will be charged separately.

Minor adjustments to shape, color, and balance may be addressed during an appropriate follow-up or touch-up appointment.

HEALING TIMELINE

Immediately following your procedure, your tattoo may appear darker, bolder, or more intense than the final healed result.

The tattoo will go through a healing process as the skin settles and the pigment softens.

Please allow a minimum of 30 full days before evaluating your healed results.

Depending on the individual and the service performed, the appearance may continue to soften and develop beyond this point.

Your artist will advise you regarding your individual healing process and whether a follow-up appointment is appropriate.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A CLIENT

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding your:

• Health history

• Medications and supplements

• Allergies or sensitivities

• Skin conditions

• Previous cosmetic tattoos

• Previous reactions to tattooing or cosmetic procedures

• Other information requested during the consultation or consent process

Please do not withhold relevant information in order to proceed with your appointment.

You are also responsible for carefully following all pre-care and aftercare instructions provided by Hello Aurora.

Failure to follow these instructions may affect healing, pigment retention, and your final results.

RISKS & INFORMED CONSENT

By choosing to undergo cosmetic tattooing at Hello Aurora, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily choosing to receive a tattoo and understand that the procedure involves implanting pigment into the skin.

Cosmetic tattooing carries inherent risks, which may include, but are not limited to:

• Redness, swelling, tenderness, or irritation

• Infection

• Allergic or sensitivity reactions

• Changes in pigment color or retention

• Uneven pigment retention

• Changes in appearance during healing

• Scarring or changes in skin texture

• Unsatisfactory results

• The need for additional sessions

• The possibility that healed results may differ from your expectations

• The possibility that correction or removal may be necessary

You understand that individual results vary and cannot be guaranteed.

You will have an opportunity to ask questions before your procedure. You should not proceed with a service if you do not feel adequately informed or comfortable moving forward.

FRECKLE TATTOO

LASER DISCLAIMER

If you choose to receive freckle tattoos, please understand that tattooed pigment in the skin may affect your ability to safely receive certain laser treatments in those areas in the future.

Certain lasers are designed to interact with pigment in the skin. Tattoo pigment may therefore react unexpectedly when exposed to laser energy.

Laser treatment over tattooed freckles may result in pigment darkening, color changes, alteration of the tattoo, or skin injury, including burns.

For this reason:

You must inform any laser technician, aesthetic provider, dermatologist, or other treatment professional that you have freckle tattoos before receiving laser treatment.

Choosing freckle tattoos may create a long-term limitation on certain laser treatments performed over or near the tattooed areas.

If you are considering laser facials, resurfacing, hair removal, or another laser-based treatment, discuss your existing tattoos with the provider before undergoing treatment.

Hello Aurora does not control the type of laser used, its settings, the provider's technique, or how your individual skin and tattoo pigment will respond. You are responsible for informing future treatment providers about your cosmetic tattoos.

CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By completing your consent forms and proceeding with your appointment, you acknowledge that:

I have read and understand the information provided regarding cosmetic tattooing, including its risks, limitations, healing process, and individual variation in results.

I understand that healed results are unique to me and cannot be guaranteed.

I understand that additional sessions may be recommended and that additional sessions may carry an additional fee.

I understand that proper pre-care and aftercare are my responsibility.

I have provided accurate information regarding my health, medications, allergies, skin, and previous cosmetic tattooing.

I understand that I am responsible for informing future treatment providers about my cosmetic tattoos, particularly before receiving laser treatments.

I have had the opportunity to ask questions and receive clarification before proceeding.

I am voluntarily choosing to undergo this cosmetic tattoo procedure.

I understand and agree to the Hello Aurora studio policies and client requirements.

Color refreshers are for existing clients only. Color refreshers are recommended every 3-5 years but are not required. As your tattoo ages, the color will dull and fade. The strokes will become less visable. I ask clients wait until your tattoo is about 40% faded before you book an appointment to refresh. This will prevent your tattoo from getting too saturated over time and help give it a more natural look long term.

Pigment migration may lead to the blurring of tattoo edges, color distortion, or the appearance of the tattoo spreading over time. While efforts are made to minimize pigment migration through proper technique and aftercare, it is a recognized risk associated with tattooing procedures. Clients should be aware of the possibility of pigment migration and understand that its occurrence is beyond the complete control of the tattoo artist.

By allowing your tattoo time to fade and implanting the minimum amount of hair strokes, this reduces the risk of migration.

HELLO AURORA

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Hello Aurora, every appointment is reserved exclusively for you. As a small, appointment-based studio, preparation for your service begins well before you arrive.

Once your appointment is booked, time is removed from our limited schedule and preparations are made specifically for your service, including supplies, pigments, equipment, studio preparation, and administrative time. Our booking fee policy protects both your reserved appointment time and the investment we make in preparing for you.

BOOKING FEE

A $200 non-refundable booking fee is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

Your booking fee is applied toward the total cost of your service and is not an additional charge.

Because your appointment is reserved exclusively for you, the booking fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation, rescheduling outside of our cancellation policy, or failure to attend your appointment.

WHY IS THE BOOKING FEE NON-REFUNDABLE?

As a small business, each appointment represents an investment of time, supplies, preparation, and resources.

Once your appointment is confirmed, we reserve that time specifically for you and may decline other appointment requests for the same time. We also begin preparing for your service in advance.

The booking fee allows us to protect your reserved time and the investment we make in preparing for your appointment.

NO REFUNDS AFTER SERVICE

Cosmetic tattooing is a highly specialized service customized to each individual. Results can vary based on factors such as skin type, skin condition, healing, lifestyle, existing pigment, and individual skin response.

For this reason, cosmetic tattoo services are final and non-refundable once the service has been performed.

Before your appointment, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss your desired results, review the procedure, and make an informed decision about moving forward.

INFORMED CONSENT

Before your service, you will be required to complete an informed consent form acknowledging that you understand the cosmetic tattooing procedure, healing process, potential risks, and the natural variation that can occur from person to person.
